EXCLUSIVE.
Hugh Dallas has lost his appeal against dismissal as Head of Referee development at the SFA.
He was informed by writing on Friday 24th December.
SFA President George Peat and HR professional Ms. Viv Coady heard the appeal.
During the appeal Mr. Peat told Dallas that “it was not in the public interest” that he be re-instated.
Mr.Dallas was accompanied at his appeal hearing by his deputy at the SFA referee department John Fleming.
Stewart Regan the CEO that sacked Dallas in November was not present at the appeal.
I understand from sources that Mr.Dallas intends to take the SFA to an employment tribunal in the New Year.
Under current employment legislation in Scotland he has 12 weeks and six days from the date of dismissal to take the SFA to a tribunal.

Finally the first decent decision taken by Peat in his period with the SFA. So lets clear something up here Dallas was sacked and not as reported in many papers “he left due to the pressure brought about by the situation”. Still couldn`t tell the truth.

So sorry to hear that – aye right.
That no mark deserves everything he gets, or does not as the case may be.
Again great work Phil.
Wonder how the laptop loyal will report this one.

Thanks for the update, Phil. This also makes it absolutely clear that he was sacked rather than any nonsense that he resigned. Do you know his position with UEFA, does he have a position there or is he likely to be offered one. That would surely be untenable now.
Keep up the great work, mate.

1st again Phil, well done.agree wi posts about Taylor, that was basically winding up younger hoops who don’t remember that day.we all know the hatred that exists on old firm days.I went to school with the ref&1of the assistants at the huns v well game, the assistant ref was a gers fan at school,he was a year ahead of me,the ref was in same class at primary& some high school classes, wasn’t into footi, heard he joined the police, then to my shock I saw him on tv as a ref,1st 3 seasons was fair, but since some of his decisions hav been anti Celtic & is more favorable to the huns,no doubt he is looking for promotion in the police. Wen 1st saw him for he would be fair, but last 2 1/2 seasons he has been disgraceful.god forbid he gets old firm game, bad enuff hav to put up with Craig Thomsonon Sun.&Martin Cryins being assistant.wonder how many honest mistakes made this weekend again.KTF! YNWA!

Thats a shame.
Phil I do hope that you’ll write something about the shoddy journalism on show from James Traynor and David Leggat about the potential for disruption of the minutes silence @ Ibrox on Sunday.

Yet again the new media lead the way. Well done phil! A caller on Radio clyde in Glasgow was shot down there only minutes ago when he mentioned your exclusive and your web site! The sneering comment from the presenter was that your site isn’t “official.” You are doing something right fella. These media lapdogs in Scotland clearly can’t stand you. Keep going. Dallas is one of many bigots in prominent positions in Scottish football. Good riddance.
